Sally's Blog, March 21st
Hi friends, There were so many visitors last weekend that my paws were tired from trying to greet everyone.  My two-legged friends had a party called
"A Walk Back in Time,"  and all their friends came to sing and dance and show everyone what life was like in the olden days.  There were Timucuans with paint on their faces, and soldiers with muskets, and my friend William Bartram who loves all animals and plants, too.

People danced in the barn while musicians on the big wagon played the prettiest tunes.  I was almost tempted to sing along!  And the smells were so good coming from the kitchen.  Yum!

On Sunday I visited my friend Miss Nancy and she let me sit on her porch for a while and listen to her friends play music.  The clickety clack music was very interesting, too.  Sort of like bones clicking together.

Sally's Blog, March 10th - I chased a lot of squirrels last week, so I decided to take a break and visit my friend Miss Nancy.  Sometimes she lets me sit on her lap and she always knows just which spot to scratch behind my ears.

At first I couldn't find her in her old house, and then I saw that she had MOVED!!  She took all the pretty pictures and good smelling things with her to her new house.  And there is a big sign over the door so everyone can see that Miss Nancy is there.

She has some new pictures that smell like coffee, and I heard her tell Mr. Dave that an artist had painted them using coffee for paint.  Two legged people are very clever!  And she had sparkly jewels hanging in the window where the sun shines through.  Then I sniffed out some potato chips in the back room, and I tried my best to sneak some out.  But I was caught.  She didn't yell at me though, instead she just let me curl up with her on the rocking chair.

Miss Nancy is one of my favorite people.

Sally's Blog, February 22nd
Hi Kids, It was a beautiful weekend here at the Ag Museum.  I was really busy greeting visitors, checking on my horse friends, and of course, chasing those pesky squirrels away!

So I decided to go exploring and found some boxes out in the woods.  They were buzzing, and that made me curious.  The two legged people called them beehives, and my nose smelled something sweet.  Could it be ice cream?  But these bees pollinate the flowers here and their hives are filled with honey.

The Beekeepers said that the Häagen Dazs ice cream company is their friend.  Häagen Dazs is worried that so many honey bees are dying around the world, so they were happy to see that ours were healthy.  Hmm, I wonder if they have any extra ice cream?  I would be glad to share it with the bees.

Now I'm ready for a nice nap in the sunshine.

YAWN,  what a busy day today.  It started with the squirrels making such a racket!  So I chased them up the trees and I'm sure I scared them good!
While I was taking care of the squirrels, I saw a big yellow
machine parked near the Dairy Barn.  It looked very fierce and I barked at it a few times to see if I could get it to climb a tree, too, but it just sat there on the grass.  I think it was sleeping.

Later I heard the two-legged people talking about clearing brush to make a place to play a new game.  They will dig long trenches and put a post at each end. Then they throw a horseshoe at the post.  Humph, I wonder what the horses think of that?  I'd better ask Ranger and Poco if they are missing any shoes.  I will do my part by catching all the horseshoes I can!

It's time to curl up in the sun and take a little nap.

Your friend,
Sally

Hi Kids!

My name is Sally and I am the resident mooch, I mean pooch at the Museum.  Cats are OK, but I really like kids so I thought it would be a good idea to start a blog so you could find out more about my life at the Museum. I will also be putting some links to my favorite web sites with games to play and pictures to color on my blog.

When you visit the Museum, be sure to look for me.

Your Pal Sally.

Sally's Blog, May 4th
This weekend was SO hot!  Wow, I don't know how my 2 legged friends did so much work. I spent most of my time in Miss Mary's air-conditioned office, but when I went outside I knew I could find a nice cold drink of water and a shady place to lie down in.

Did you know that both pets and people have to be careful not to get too hot? Click here to find out more about taking care of pets in hot weather:

While I was resting in my shady spot, I met a new friend named Lindsay.  She came to visit us from Oak Hill, FL.  I was very glad to see her because she had some delicious treats for me!

Now its time for my nap
